Missing Link

Yes, yes, I’ve not had a substantial update in a week or more! Some are fearing (probably not fearing, but thinking) that I have slipped into another period of not updating at all for months on end. Let me assure you that is not the case! I haven’t posted anything in part because it’s been a major holiday here in the US at the end of last week, and also because I’ve been spending more time on my pet project: fredthefrog.net.

I would, however, like to take a few minutes to summarize what’s been going on since my last update.

Apparently, my little buddy Fred has decided it’d be a good idea to use my credit card to buy a domain, www.fredthefrog.net. He’s already got his own blog and everything set up there. It was a bit of a shock for me to find that my stuffed frog was able to do all of this on his own, but I guess I shouldn’t be.

I have no doubt, however, that his posts will be both informative and funny. He seems to enjoy getting himself into trouble.

A few posts back, I wrote an introduction to Fred the Frog. In that post, I promised to write more about Fred’s (mis)adventures. Since I’m not one to go back on a promise (unless I forget, which is always possible….), here’s another tale about fred. This is the “True Hollywood Story: A Frognapping gone wrong”.

First, let me start out by saying that I don’t remember all of the details of how this happened; it was over a year ago and the finer details got misplaced somewhere in the rusty steel trap I call my brain. Keeping that in mind, if someone reading this knows of the story and thinks “hey, that’s not how it happened”, you’re probably very correct. Parts of this will likely be completely made up.

Fred, is a frog. Not a real frog, mind you, a stuffed frog. He’s MY stuffed frog, and he is awesome.

I “liberated” Fred from an individual from my past; a humanitarian act of monumental proportions. He’s since become my Hobbes. Yes, I’m totally serial. He’s taken on a kind of alter-ego personality, and has become my little buddy, watching me play video games ( I know, I know, I should be outside playing games or running around… call me a hypocrite, whatever. ) or watching movies with me and Ann. He also has little adventures.
