		<description>pernicious anemia is actually a defect in the parietal cells of the gastric pits of the stomach, which secrete intrinsic factor which binds dietary B12.   The term &quot;pernicious anemia&quot; gets overused to include any B12 deficiency, when actually it&#039;s a physiological defect.

So, no, I don&#039;t mean pernicious anemia :-)

That said, I *did* have a typo (I said Mocrocytic, instead of the correct term Macrocytic).</description>

I am all for humane treatment of animals, but PETA takes it to a whacked-out level of stupidity that is quite disrespectful.  I almost think they do things more for publicity than to actually help animals.  And Scientology...seriously...I want to know what elements classify a cult, because they sure sound like they&#039;re toeing the line...</description>
