Aside from hurting my pinky on my left hand and having it immobilized so it can heal, I had a pretty good weekend. It could have been better but could have been worse too.
My parents and I came up with the initial master plan for my landscaping – a plan I’m honestly wholeheartedly excited about. I think I may actually end up with a nice cozy back yard garden to enjoy sitting and reading in – I cant wait to get started!
My dad and I did all the measuring Sunday, then talked with my next dooe neighbor about some plants growing through the fence between our yards – I wanted to remove them and he was all for it. I think we’ll get along just fine. He’s a fellow Mac user.
After that my Dad helped me cut them down and out of the fence since I only had one good hand. Then we weeded some in the back yard – a small area but made a huge difference.
There is a lot more work left to be done, but it’ll be awesome when finished.
Today we test out the paint selections, and hopefully painting will happen soon.
The only other thing that is new is that I decided I want to replace my Kitchen sink – the stainless steel one I have is cheap looking and kinda crappy. I want one that doesnt suck so much. After looking at Home Depot I am pretty sure I can do that project for under $500, if I do the labor myself – that shouldn’t be too hard. I’m doing it.
And lastly – MattyP is visiting me on August 8th – 10th; Super excited about that!
