First post from the new house

So I’m sitting here, at my new dining room table here at the new house, and thought I’d write a quick post.

I’m online using a verizon USB EVDO modem, which I requisitioned from work because AT&T screwed up my phone / DSL order. They installed, as the put it, “the wrong class of service” on my line, and DSL won’t work with it. They had to put an order in to get the class of service changed, then once that’s been completed, RE-order the DSL line. They told me they could have it all completed and service started by Tuesday. They also told me they’re giving me a credit on my account for a month of service for the inconvenience.

So, for now I’m relying on Verizon for my internet connectivity needs. That’s ok though, it is plenty fast for most of the things I do online.

Anyways – I’m partially moved into the new house. My dining room table and chairs were delivered this morning, along with the armoire that I’ll be putting my entertainment center in. My sofa (custom ordered) won’t be available until late June, which sucks but it will be nice when it’s here.

My buddy Jason gave me a bunch of insteon dimmer switches to put in around the house – a project I will either undertake tomorrow or sometime next weekend ( one of about 1000000 projects I know are going to pop up…)

My office won’t be ready for quite a while – there’s some custom furniture construction that has to happen first and who knows how long that will take. It’ll be nice when it’s done but I’m fairly impatient and, like everything else, just want it now.

Well, I am going to go get a head start on cleaning – there’s a lot of that needed.
