It’s been a long time, but I’m back

It’s been a long time since I had a chance to update any of my websites,  and it’s been bothering me a LOT.  There are a myriad of reasons, but mostly it was just a complete and utter lack of time,  and even when I did have a few moments I was just too wiped out to spend it doing anything resembling constructive activities.

I’ve started my new job,  about a month ago,   and it’s going alright.    It became apparent to me on the first day that I had my work cut out for me, and that is not an understatement.   We’re slowly but surely locking down the network and making good things happen, which is great,  but it’s also a slow going process.     There has been some weirdness the past couple of weeks, but it’s finally starting to calm down a little bit now and hopefully things will end up “alright” after all.

I’m buying a house,  which I believe I hinted at in my last post,  but it’s official.   I found the house I wanted on my first day back out hunting and put an offer in the next day.  I am scheduled to close next monday and will take possession at closing – which means that this time next week I’ll officially be a homeowner.  Very excited about that.

I am planning on using that event as a catalyst for changing aspects of my life that bother me now,   namely that I spend too little time at home, and because of that I don’t spend nearly enough time doing things I enjoy.

On a side note, i’ve started using Twitter a lot more lately than I had in the past.  I attribute that to the ease of updating provided by Twitterberry on my blackberry.

For those curious,  I still have (and use) my iPhone – the Blackberry is provided by work.
