Exciting News

I suppose it is possible that some of you may have not heard the news already, though I’m fairly certain I’ve told most everybody who would read this – I’ve got a new job.

That’s right, I’m finally moving out of the world of consulting and into a (hopefully) much happier place.

I’ve taken a position with a Indiana based company as their IT Security Director, where I will be in charge of developing and maintaining security on their network, as well as doing disaster recovery planning. I’m incredibly excited by the opportunity presented here and am looking forward to seeing where this takes me.

I start this coming monday (April 7th).

  1. Holding off on using the company name quite yet? When do we get to know? :) Congrats, man! You know, that dude who liveblogged in the middle of Katrina was also a disaster recovery planner… sounds like fun! :)

(ps – the openid option didn’t seem to work for me..)

@justin: I am indeed holding off on using the company name. It was different with Proxito (and DeftMobile and Bouncepad) because I owned them, since I don’t own this one I am hesitant to put their name on my site – mainly because I don’t want to cause any animosity :-)

I’ll ping you on google talk with the details.

And yeah, I remember reading about that guy – he took disaster recovery to the max!

I’ll have to look into the OpenID issue, my web host doesn’t support some of the libraries needed for it to work 100%, so my guess is that’s where the problem lay.

I need to find a new hosting provider.

good job, Mr. MMtMM-ITSD! be sure to let me know how your first day went!
