Missing Link

Anyone who has ever come to my site before will know now that it’s very much different than it was in the past. Any who have come in the past few days will note that it’s also not returning database errors.

The old john.whelans.net, known as Apprehension, is no longer with us. A replacement for Apprehension, or as close to one as I’m going to get, will come online in the next few weeks at the domain www.somethingdelicious.org. I own it, but nothing exists there. yet. I don’t know what I’m going to put there, either, so don’t ask. You can, however, suggest something (delicious).

As for what happened to apprehension, I’m not sure, to be honest. I believe it may have been the electronic molestation of comment spammers that finally caused it’s database to give way and die a horrible electronic death of blended bits. I can only hope, pray even, that it’s death was quick and painless. I was unable to salavage anything from the mess, save for any static content I had there. I moved the site to new servers ( more reliable, stable, faster) and am using different software to handle site management.

Lastly, I’ve noticed a lot of Illinois license plates around Indianapolis lately. I’ve also noticed that Illinois drivers can’t drive. Learn to use your turn signals, guys. Illinois isn’t exactly the land that God forgot — it’s more like the land He’s trying to ignore.
