Some of you are already aware of this, others of you have not heard and still others probably don’t even care, but due to a series of unfortunate setbacks and other reasons my partner and I have decided to close our businesses. We posted the notices to the company websites (www.proxito.com, www.bouncepad.com, www.deftmobile.com) earlier this afternoon and notified all of the Bouncepad customers of the shutdown as well. We’re giving Bouncepad customers who purchased pro keywords a pro-rata refund and anybody who ordered signs but did not receive them are getting full refunds.
I’m not going to go into detail as to how or why this happened, so don’t ask if you don’t already know the story – I won’t tell you.
I am saddened by this development, to be sure, but am excited to be able to move on and see where life takes me next. I am currently in search of my next big gig, preferably something in the Indianapolis area as I have ties here that I’m not really willing to break. I’d essentially have to be offered a “helluva deal” to lure me out of this city for now.
I would like to focus more on network engineering and security related work, perhaps taking on a position somewhere as an information security officer or other senior network security management position. I’ve got tons of management and security experience that would be a waste not to call on.
So, if you or anybody you know are in the Indianapolis area and are in need of somebody with a wealth of experience in running a company and building and securing an enterprise data network I would love to hear from you. You can email me at: johnmwhelan -at- mac.com, I’d be more than happy to provide a resume.
That is all.

I still think you need a new start.
Mr. MMtMM, may great wealth and success fall upon you, as I am certain it will. Be well sir!
