The idiot son of an asshole…
by John on Oct.27, 2006, under General
I don’t think it comes as much of a surprise to anyone when I say our president is the idiot son of an asshole. Actually, though, that’s not a phrase I came up with myself, but rather is the title of a song by Fat Mike and the guys from NoFX. I disagree with his policies, and the constant assaults on the freedoms of the citizens of the US.
But I shouldn’t publicly attack the president or his policies. You see, only a terrorist would do that, and I wouldn’t want to be labeled a terrorist would I? In fact, I wouldn’t even want to read an article that criticizes the president, lest I be questioned by the FBI. To criticize the global war on terror, in any way, is to be un-american. To criticize the Government and it’s policies is to be a traitor. In fact, by writing this posting it’s entirely possible the FBI will bust down my door, and take me to a detention camp. Maybe I’ll be visiting Cuba in the next few days.
Honestly, though, what bothers me so much is that the majority of Americans sit back placidly and allow their personal freedoms to be stripped. Some malls are ejecting people because they wear shirts that say “Give Peace a Chance”. Airlines can refuse to allow people to fly because of what pin they happen to wear on their lapel. And now holding an anti-war rally can get you subpoena from the FBI. And these are just minor examples of how our country is slowly turning into a theocracy. Every day as we sit back and allow more of our personal freedoms to be taken away from us (Ironically to protect our freedoms…) we lose more ground. Unless we want our country to suddenly become quite similar to Nazi Germany, we may want to start paying attention to the world around us, and to the actions of our elected officials. We have to take a stand. We have to make our voices heard. We have to make sure our elected officials know that we are not going to accept the way they are running our country. We have to do it soon, before we’re no longer able to do it at all.
That’s all. I’ll get off my soap box. If any FBI agents read this, I suppose I’ll be seeing you (or one of your buddies) soon. Remember guys: Blue suits, brown shoes, or I won’t go with you to your office to make a statement. In fact, I’ll probably refuse to talk to you. And ditch the sunglasses. Too matrix.

It’s from the movie “Empire Records”. I am not surprised that you didn’t know that…
